Vanessa Hudgens loved celebrating her bachelorette party last weekend in Aspen with her future bridesmaids including Sarah Hyland.
“She’s the best. She’s a ride or die,” theHigh School Musicalalum, 34, tells PEOPLE exclusively at an interview at an event in New York City forAmerican Express Business Gold Card, which she is partnering with to empower small business owners.
“We literally hit it off probably 14 years ago leaving Coachella together, and sitting in basically a trunk of an SUV sandwiched next to each other. We were like to each other, ‘I think we’re friends now,'” she adds.

In anInstagram postfrom the weekend Hyland, 32, shared photos of her and Hudgens wearing black and white outfits together from the celebration. Hudgens, a lover of spooky season and Halloween, later revealed onTODAYthat the night they wore those outfits she’d asked her guests to dress up for her “funeral.”
“They were all so iconic,” Hudgens tells PEOPLE after being asked about her favorite look from the weekend.
“I love when everyone dresses up,” she continues. “So we did a theme night. That was amazing. Everyone understood the assignment.”
Aside from dressing up, Hudgens adds that her favorite part of the weekend was just getting to spend time with friends. “It’s rare I feel like you get to get all your best girlfriends together and… just relax,” she says. “That’s exactly what we did.”

Hudgens and her fiancéCole Tuckerwere first linked when they were seen holding hands in Los Angeles in November 2020.
The Princess Switchstar then revealed onThe Drew Barrymore Showin May 2021 that she made the first move after she and Tucker met on a Zoom meditation group call.
“YES. We couldn’t be happier 🤍,” wrote the couple in ajoint Instagram posta week afterPEOPLE confirmedthe pair’s engagement.
