Spanish researchers conducting a study on the utmost objects in the Solar System have uncovered new evidence to support the existence of an undiscovered massive remote planet in the Solar System .

In a paper , published in theMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society : Letters , investigator from the University of Madrid have used a novel technique to study some of the most remote objects in the Solar System , aptly named utmost trans - Neptunian objects ( ETNOs ) .
ETNOs are at least 150 times further from the Sun than the Earth ( 150 Astronomical Units , 1 AU = distance from Earth to Sun ) and they do n’t cross Neptune ’s orbit .
