The California home where brothersJoseph Lyle MenéndezandErik Galen Menéndezmurdered their parents has found a buyer.
Wednesdaymarked 28 years to the daythat the brothers were convicted for the Aug. 20, 1989 murder of Jose and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menéndez.
The home initially hit the market at $19,999,500 in December 2023. Its seller, telecommunications executive Sam Delug, purchased the home in 2001 for $3.7 million, perRealtor.com.

Strategic Property Analytic President Orell Anderson told the real estate listing website that he estimates the price that the Beverly Hills home sold at “is roughly 25% below prevailing market values.”
The Menéndez brothers have returned to the spotlight after Netflix announced that it will profile them for the second installment of itsMonsterseries expected to premiere in 2024.

The streamer announced last May that the upcoming series would officially be titledMonsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story.
“During their trials, the brothers cited years of abuse as the reason for murdering their parents. However, prosecutors argued that their motive was to get their hands on the family fortune,” asynopsisfor the series reads.
Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Storywill featureNicholas Alexander Chavezand Cooper Koch as Lyle and Erik, respectively. Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevignyhave signed on to play their parents.
