I always wanted an RC car that did n’t eat batteries like Tom Cruise go through babies there ’s no tomorrow . Corgi ’s H2Gois fuel - cell power RC gondola that just needs piss and Christ Within — a solar instrument panel powers its hydrogen place , which karate chops water into oxygen and hydrogen . The station tankful take about 2 bit to refill , and a full charge ( which take seconds ) nets you about 10 minutes of zoom zooming . And the innovation ? By Luigi Colani , famous for his oeuvre with Ferrari and Alfa Romeo .

I think it actually looks more like something out of The Big atomic number 8 than Batman , though Big oxygen borrow intemperately from the former . Either way , it ’s pure formative art . More importantly , they work — some of the paw - built prototypes were a act twitchy , but most of them were zipping around the track with no problems .

Corgi is n’t planning on stopping here either . When talke dto CEO Michael Cookson , he say it ’s “ just the hint of the crisphead lettuce . ” Basically , they ’re looking at converting “ anything to do with battery ” to fuel - cubicle office ( I suggest toy robots ) , and plan on launching “ a range of product ” in the next year or so . Best of all , they ’ll all be using a world-wide charger — though he monish , the H2Go ’s hydrogen station might not be it . The US launch for H2Go will in Aug. or Sept. for $ 129.99 w/ the solar panel , or $ 99 without . [ Giz@Toy Fair 2008 ]
