That said, the 23-year-old did joke with hostLaverne Coxduring Sunday’s 2024People’s Choice Awardspre-show that she has been slightly more forgetful since welcoming her firstborn.
“This is archive… of something, I don’t remember,” she said when asked about her look for the awards ceremony. “But that’s OK, I can never remember, I have mom brain now, and yeah, I’m so excited to be here.”
“It’s been going so great! I’m so obsessed — it’s such a task to leave the house because I don’t even want to go anywhere,“The Little Mermaidstar told Cox, 51, of life as a first-time mom. “I’m like rushing back to him, yeah.”

During Bailey’s appearance on onE!’s live streamprior to the ceremony, she said she is “feeling so amazing” after welcoming Halo to the world. “I love him so much.” she said of her son; she recently told PEOPLE that DDG, 26,first came up with the ideafor his name.
“We just agreed, and we loved it,” she shared. “I love the name Halo.”
Bailey is nominated for top female movie star of the year Sunday’s awards ceremony for her starring role as Ariel in Disney’s 2023 live-action remake ofThe Little Mermaid. The movie also received nominations in movie performance of the year (Melissa McCarthy, for her role as the villain Ursula), movie of the year at Sunday’s awards show.
“This movie has been such a big blessing in my life, but seeing the beautiful impact it’s had on the little girls and little boys is all the confirmation I need,” Bailey said ofThe Little Mermaid’s popularity following its May 2023 release. “I’m just so grateful and honored to be here tonight.”
