ThePortland Press Herald reportsthat the lighter — which is one of a pair , the other being in San Francisco — was move Wednesday . According to the newsprint , it made its way from Portland Harbor to to Turner ’s Island Cargo Terminal in South Portland , where it will be rase .

That in itself will be no mean feat : its structure is made up of 63 transport container forming a four - floor edifice atop the vessel . The proprietor of the depot told the Herald that the flatboat had been purchase by an unnamed “ international barging company ” ; the containers will be scrapped .
