One of the few function of Eddie Brock ’s characterSony decide not to tinker with too muchin its upcoming Venom solo film is his passion for news media — something that ultimately brings him into contact with the alien symbiote that changes his life .
After months ofquestionable trailersandlascivious posters , Sony ’s finally dropped the first clip — from a scene in the film featuring Tom Hardy ’s Eddie Brock face Carlton Drake , the CEO of the Life Foundation portray by Riz Ahmed , about his organization ’s alleged human experimentation . If you ’ve watch Venom ’s earliest trailers , you already recognise that the Life Foundation is creditworthy for introducing symbiotes to the worldly concern and in the clip , Eddie seems to have put two and two together . But when he clumsily tries to press Drake for entropy and answer , he ’s shut down immediately .
expect , we get it . Everybody fact-finding journalist out there just want to uncover the truth , but Eddie ’s proficiency here is just evidently sloppy . He immediately essay to go in for the kill with an interviewee who clearly does n’t have his defenses down and , one presumes , has enough media training not to just uncoiled - up spill the fact that his society ’s letting alien beings slide up inside unwitting test subjects .

Suffice to say that when Venom hits theater on October 4 , it ’s not going to be a amusing script film take on Spotlight . Could be a near revulsion movie though? We can hope .
