Good word , fans of the first Defender — Matt Murdock will be returning to Netflix for another time of year of crime fighting in and out of his red suit ! But he wo n’t be bringing showrunner Steven DeKnight with him .
In a statement just released , Marvel confirm that the show will have a 2nd streak of instalment that will air out in 2016 , with AKA Jessica Jones make its début later this twelvemonth and Luke Cage start in 2016 .. The only other news released was the announcement that DeKnight will move on from the show due to other loyalty :
“ While previous commitment unfortunately prevent me from continue on with Daredevil into its second time of year , ” DeKnight explains , “ I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are post the Verbascum thapsus . They were invaluable collaborators during our first season , and I for one ca n’t hold back to see what they do with the show moving forward . ”
Update : Steven DeKnight has take to Twitter substantiate his departure from the serial to influence on an upcoming characteristic film :

give the reaction from the populace and critics alike , it ’s unsurprising to see there ’s more Daredevil planned , but it ’s nice to bonk that it ’s definitely go on . Can it be 2016 now ?
