Charlie Brooker ’s creepy British dystopian serial Black Mirror is back this month for a one off feature - length Christmas Special . Nothing says Christmas like sinister Jon Hamm and a actual life sentence interlingual rendition of Social Media ’s blocking functions , correct ?
The special follows the series common anthology formatting by weaving together three different stories – starring Hamm , Rafe Spall and Game of Thrones ’ Oona Chaplin – about the darker side of futurist bright applied science , including a substantial - life block function and what looks like Chaplain ’s character reference being uploaded into a digital system . Here ’s the prescribed verbal description from Channel 4 :

In a mysterious and remote white outstation , Matt ( Jon Hamm ) and Potter ( Rafe Spall ) , partake in a Christmas repast together and swap creepy-crawly tales of their earlier aliveness in the external Earth .
Matt is a charismatic American trying to fetch the reserved , tightlipped Potter out of his shell . Are both man who they look to be ? Along the agency we see Jon Hamm offering an unusual strain of romantic counsel to an inexperienced new humankind , keep an eye on Oona Chaplin thrust headlong into a nightmarish populace of ‘ smart ’ gadgetry , and explore what might happen if you could ‘ block ’ people in real life , just as you may on Facebook or Twitter .
Ah yes . Exactly what you want for Christmas !

Black Mirror : White Christmas air in the UK on December 16th , at 9 pm on Channel Four . Good news , US readers – you could finally catch up with what the tizzy is all about onNetflix !
