Egyptologist have confirmed that an artificial toe found on the corpse of a mum was not for cosmetic purposes , but instead an actual prosthetic twist that helped the ancient Egyptian to walk . Consequently , it is considered the old assistive gadget ever observe by archaeologists .
To prove the functionality of the gadget , researcher Jacky Finch rent two volunteers ( both miss their right toe ) to try the effectiveness of the artificial toe while wearing replica leather ancient Egyptian style sandals , and while in plain feet .
