Music Weekis reportingthat when Snow Patrol debuts their new album A Hundred Million Suns recently next month , according to their label ’s intersection manager , it ’ll set up on iTunes with Apple ’s next ( presumably ) killer app for the iPhone and iPod feeling ( Remote being the first ): an interactive album app that ’ll deliver lyrics , nontextual matter , behind - the - euphony picture and other incentive content . The album will send packing via plastic disc on October 27 , but Music Week imply it might hit iTunes a moment earlier . iTunes apparently already extend digital booklets for some albums , so it ’s possible the app will simply optimise them for the iPhone with lyric and extra exposure . But , if Apple ’s in reality creating a whole separate app , the implementation is likely more awe-inspiring — like the Remote app does n’t exactly seem thrilling if trace it , but it ’s really marvelous when you practice it , particularly if you ’re anal retentive about your cover art . For some , this might bring digital euphony another step closer to completely replacing CD , but really , there ’s no second-stringer for that new plastic smell and bedamn when you test to frantically peel the sticker off the top in piece so you’re able to slide it into your car ’s CD player for the first metre . Music Week is promising more contingent in the idle - tree version this hebdomad . [ Music Week – Thanks Jimbo ! ]
