Orphan Black slow down its yard this hebdomad , but dropped a vast bomb on the clones . While the clone have been trying to hide their genetic identities from their nearest and dearest , those nearest and good may very well have been spying on them this entire time . So who ’s a undercover agent and who is just pretend suspicious ? Spoilers forwards .
We kick off thing with Helena , who is still alive and being tended to by the man with the signet ring . She moans what is likely his name , “ Thomas . ”
Well , now we know why Paul just would n’t go aside . After sexy fourth dimension with Paul , Sarah sleeps beside him and seems to daydream that people in white are performing medical test on her . She compose it off … until she coughs up an electrode ( that she somehow swallowed in her sleep ? ) and observe a acerate leaf chump in her branch . So the men in white were n’t a dream after all , and Paul probably let them into the house . Ruh - roh .
Of course , once Alison realizes Beth ’s beau was likely a spy for the experimenters , she ’s convinced her hubby is as well . Granted , Donnie is make shady phone call to someone about Alison , but that could be a psychiatrist or a divorcement attorney . And , after a monumental search of all of his clobber ( which at first turns up little more than a Big Boob Blowies DVD ) she finds a ignition lock box , one that all of her hacksawing powers ca n’t get her into . When she confront Donnie about it , he complains that all he wants is a little privacy . On the one hand , Alison is kind of a control monstrosity , and I could see Donnie want to keep his byplay mesh up tight . But what does he desire her to obscure from her more than gravid Boob Blowies ? Alison buys a nanny Cam River .
We also instruct that Sarah is n’t the only clone who ’s been sweet - babble out Raj , the IT guy from the constabulary section . Apparently Beth illicitly borrowed some surveillance equipment from the police place , and Sarah and Felix search Beth ’s home , cypher Beth might have been spying on Paul while Paul was descry on her . But , in a minute of ( momentary ) ontogenesis , Sarah does n’t show Beth ’s balance with Paul , chiding Fe that they ’re private . They do eventually find the good in Beth ’s railroad car .
While Alison is in a tizzy hunt through Donnie ’s clobber , Sarah visits Paul ’s suspiciously empty consulting firm . She engraft a bug under Paul ’s desk and finds that the desk — like the sleep of the office — is oddly empty . But Paul notices a little weirdness of his own : when he ’s kissing Sarah ’s neck , he realizes she does n’t have a scratch that Beth has . Sarah tries to write it off as the results of some heaven-sent new lotion , but his antenna is up — and not the one that he ’s been using since Sarah arrived .
Sarah does end up reading Paul and Beth ’s letter after all . Beth was in love with Paul , but Paul was n’t in love with her and would n’t leave her . He certainly seems to be falling for Sarah now , though , and Sarah look perfectly suffering about it .
For two of our other characters , however , love is in the air . When Cosima is n’t convince one of her colleagues to run tryout on Katja ’s blood for her , she ’s locomote in on Delphine , the somewhat molecular biological science grad student from France . I ’m fully expecting Cosima to , at some point during this series , discuss all the multitudinous biological factors that might chip in to sexuality . But also … no ! Cosima ! break off ! uncollectible ! Have you learn nothing from Sarah ’s experience with Paul ? undercover agent are potential to present themselves in the soma of sexy potential romantic collaborator .
You know what is apparently genetic , according to Orphan Black ? Being freak out nosy . Cosima interpret Delphine ’s mail , sneaking a peek at her grades , before approaching her .
Felix is also getting adorable with Colin , the helpful associate from the morgue . I inquire what intention Colin serves in show up at this distributor point ? Perhaps it ’s just to freak out once Sarah or one of the other clones crosses his path , but maybe there ’s something more at work .

( I do love that Mrs. S introduce Sarah to punk rock . ) Even when she need Mrs. S for a party favor , it ’s a modest , average one : she want to know where she come from . We know that Sarah come to Mrs. S when she was not much onetime than Kira , but Mrs. S claim to know piddling about Sarah ’s background . It ’s potential she have sex more than she ’s telling , but is she in league with one of these mysterious organisation ?
Oh , and Vic ’s back . He ’s in cryptic motor oil colour after loosing the cocain brick , and loses a finger to a newspaper cutter . When he recognise Alison at a shopping center , he mistake her for Sarah and cypher Sarah must still be alive . Alison calmly maces Vic and then less calmly describes him to Sarah as “ urban , ” then intromit she means “ not white . ” But at least now we know Vic is n’t Kira ’s Padre . I wonder if the identity operator of Kira ’s Padre is going to be important to the kinsfolk who are after the clones .
And yep , Paul ’s a undercover agent . He even has a wispy meeting with some sheik named Olivier . But despite Paul ’s suspicions , he covers for Sarah , telling Olivier that everything is ok with “ Beth . ” Sarah and Felix have their misgiving confirmed when they listen to the conversation via the hemipteron . But there ’s another trouble : Paul followed Sarah and knows about Kira . And there ’s yet another job : Felix did n’t bother to lock his front doorway . Vic shows up and he ’s wee . Sarah pays him off with $ 20,000 from Alison ’s security fund and expresses shame for the lifestyle she run with Vic . “ We were sponger , ” she snaps .
Alison pulls out the lock box again and chance it unlocked . But what ’s deep down ? smut DVDs . Sorry , Donnie , but Alison already be intimate about Big Boob Blowies . He combust the real contents of the lockbox while talking to his contact lens . She does , however , welcome him back into bottom . What are you up to , Alison ?
Paul and Sarah meet and the secrets come tumble out . Paul realizes that Sarah is n’t Beth , and Sarah discover that Beth jumped in front of a train . In fact , Sarah accuses Paul of being responsible for Beth ’s decease , for killing her by lie in to her , by letting people run tests on her while she slept , by betraying her even as she loved him . Paul is upset , angry , he keeps pointing a gun for hire at Sarah and insisting that this must be some form of ghastly test . “ How could you do that to her ? ” Sarah demand . He lour the gun . “ You think I had a choice ? ” Sarah demands to know why he was supervise Beth , and he demand a breath and grit his tooth . “ They do n’t tell us why . ”
Wow . Okay , so we know that Paul and Donnie are both monitors , but who else is spying on our gals ? Delphine ? Mrs. S ? Felix ? And are these the folk music that Maggie Chen was work for before she joined up with Thomas and Helena ?
