Poor Yamcha , the behind of 90 percent of all Dragon Ball jokes . The poor guy rope has had his ass kicked time and meter again — and hell , infamouslygot pour down off by a nameless grunt — and ca n’t really keep up with his friends . But a new official manga spinoff imagines a earthly concern where Yamcha is the greatest hero in the Dragon Ball universe .
Shōnen Jump Plus has just started run a new miniseries by Dragon Garow Lee , based on Akira Toriyama ’s iconic Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series called Dragon Ball Gaiden : Tensei - shitara Yamcha Datta Ken ( or , in English , “ Dragon Ball Side Story : The Case of Being Reincarnated as Yamcha ” ) . The premiss roll around a Nipponese high schooler who is somehow transmigrate as the hapless Yamcha following a mysterious accident .
Using his precognition of the events in the Dragon Ball manga , the high schooler — as Yamcha — jump influencing events to make indisputable Yamcha is inclined to … well , not get taken out like a gull all the darned time . But no matter what he does , can Yamcha become a hero to touch his superpowered protagonist ? It ’ll be interesting to see how the manga wriggle and wrench throughout Dragon Ball history to have Yamcha get along out on top … or at least seek to . At least this prison term it seems like Yamcha survives that Saibaman attack :

unluckily , the series is only useable in Japanese at the moment — but if you may read it , you cancatch the whole first chapter on Shonen Jump ’s website .
